I am a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician, a Content Creator, and the Founder of Delight Medical & Aesthetics in McLean VA where I help women of color become confident in their skin and body.

Growing up I had no idea how to take care of my skin.  I used soap to wash my face, regular lotion on my face and I never used sunscreen. Thankfully I had no major skin issues till my first pregnancy. 

I was always told that pregnancy gave you a glow, beautiful skin, etc. That was not the case for me. My skin become dry and very sensitive. My skin tone was uneven and I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror. I have very few pictures of that time period because I lost my confidence and didn’t feel beautiful.

In an effort to solve my skin problems, I stumbled onto the world of aesthetics. I learned so much about building skincare routines for different skin types, and the importance of sunscreen, and I learned that through nonsurgical aesthetic treatments, I could help women to preserve their beauty.

As I grew in my aesthetics practice, I discovered that people of color had different cosmetic needs compared to the average person. So I decided to take my approach of aesthetics to the next level. 

Delight Medical & Aesthetics primarily provides aesthetic treatments for women of color. That means the treatments and equipment we use are the best and safest options for people of color.
